HERGER, WALTER WILLIAM (WALLY), a Representative from California; born in Yuba City, Calif., May 20, 1945; graduated from East Nicolaus High School, Nicolaus, Calif.; attended California State University, Sacramento, Calif.; cattle rancher; businessman; member, East Nicolaus High School Board of Trustees, Nicolaus, Calif., 1977-1980; member of the California state assembly, 1980-1986; elected as a Republican to the One Hundredth and to the twelve succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1987-January 3, 2013); was not a candidate for reelection to the One Hundred Thirteenth Congress in 2012.
