KINGSTON, JACK, a Representative from Georgia; born in Bryan, Brazos County, Tex., April 24, 1955; graduated from Clarke Central High School, Athens, Ga.; attended Michigan State University, East Lansing, Mich., 1973-1974; A.B., University of Georgia, Athens, Ga., 1978; business executive; member of the Georgia state house of representatives, 1985-1993; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Third and to the ten succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1993-January 3, 2015); unsuccessful candidate for nomination to the United States Senate in 2014.
