KOGOVSEK, RAYMOND PETER, a Representative from Colorado; born in Pueblo, Pueblo County, Colo., August 19, 1941; graduated from Pueblo Catholic High School, 1959; attended Pueblo Junior College, Pueblo, Colo., 1960-1962; B.S., Adams State College, Alamosa, Colo., 1964; graduate work, University of Denver, 1965; clerk's office, Pueblo County, 1964-1973; paralegal aide, 1974-1978; member of the Colorado state house of representatives, 1969-1970; member of the Colorado state senate, 1971-1978, minority leader, 1973-1978; delegate, Colorado State Democratic conventions, 1966-1979; elected as a Democrat to the Ninety-sixth and to the two succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1979-January 3, 1985); did not seek reelection to the Ninety-ninth Congress in 1984; died on April 30, 2017, in Pueblo, Colo.
